Thums Up Charged

Project Type

Nationwide experiential brand activation / youth engagement campaign.

The Brief

Create a high-energy visual identity system for Thums Up Charged Challenge — a nationwide activation designed to celebrate intensity, speed, endurance, and the fearless attitude associated with the Thums Up brand.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a bold, high-energy visual language for Thums Up Charged that felt sharper and more disruptive than the core brand, while translating “Take Charge” into a distinctive digital-first campaign experience.

Creative POV

The core idea was to visually translate the feeling of being “Charged.” Instead of approaching the campaign like a conventional fitness event, the communication was designed to feel raw, physical, and adrenaline-driven turning every challenge into a symbol of strength, speed, and mental toughness.

Visual Language

Bold, gritty, and impact-heavy. The visual system combined monochrome athlete imagery with aggressive red accents, distressed textures, sharp typography, and layered compositions inspired by urban sports culture and street-energy aesthetics. The signature Thums Up thumb device became the central framing element across all communication.

Content Approach

The messaging focused on action, intensity, and competitive spirit rather than traditional promotional language. Communication was designed to feel urgent, energetic, and youth-oriented encouraging participation through attitude, movement, and challenge-driven storytelling.

Effectiveness

Helped establish a scalable and recognizable campaign identity for a multi-city activation while maintaining strong visual consistency across digital and on-ground touchpoints. The adaptable system allowed the brand to localize communication efficiently without diluting the campaign’s core energy.

Role

Led the visual direction and execution of the campaign identity developing the creative system, templated layouts, typography treatment, digital communication assets, and city-adaptive visual framework in collaboration with marketing and production teams.

Key Takeaway

Strong activation campaigns are not just built through events they are built through visual systems that make energy, participation, and brand attitude instantly recognizable across every touchpoint.
